Programs for Study Abroad

The Office of Programs for Study Abroad is dedicated to internationalizing Purdue by helping as many Purdue students as possible to have overseas experiences that enrich lives, enhance academic experiences, and increase career potential. The Office helps students to overcome academic, financial, or personal concerns that might prevent them from going abroad and is especially devoted to removing obstacles for first-time travelers.

Programs for Study Abroad also works to ensure that all Purdue-affiliated international endeavors meet institutional standards, and it facilitates the required approval of the Dean of International Programs in such matters.

The Office supplies required training and information to faculty members who are establishing student exchanges or who are creating or leading any kind of study abroad program. It also serves as the central source of information about students on Purdue activities abroad.

In addition, the Office helps faculty and staff to be advocates for study abroad and provides resources to facilitate their advocacy. It assists the leadership of individual Purdue colleges with strategic plans for internationalizing their curricula.
