for voting in the convocations of the faculty and in
the elections for the members of the University Senate
shall be composed of the president, vice presidents,
and the provost of the University; deans of the various
academic schools and colleges; heads of the various
academic departments and all those holding professorial
rank; and those full-time instructors who have completed
two years of service and who are not candidates for
an advanced degree.
Those who meet the above criteria but who are not
attached to an academic school, college, or division
shall be assigned by the president of the University
to appropriate units for the purpose of participating
in faculty governance procedures. Visiting, temporary,

The power of the faculty to adopt University policies,
regulations, and procedures is delegated to the University
Senate, a governing body of 102 members. Actions of
the senate are subject to review by the faculty.
A general convocation of the entire faculty is held
at least once each academic year.
