Administrative Committees
The president appoints administrative committees to
study administrative and executive problems. These committees,
which draw their memberships from both administrative
staff and faculty, report to the president.
Administrative committees function as advisory, action,
regulatory, research, or policy bodies because they
are created by, and are responsible to, the administrative
branch of the University.
Faculty Committees
The University Senate accomplishes many of its functions
through its major standing committees. These committees
are Student Affairs, Faculty Affairs, Educational Policy,
University Resources Policy, Steering, Advisory, and
Nominating. The first four of these committees have
a structure of subcommittees covering areas of faculty
concern and responsibilities.
Names of senate officers and committee chairpersons
can be obtained from the office of the secretary of
the faculties at 49-42585.
