Indiana state law requires bicycle riders to observe
stop signs and other traffic signals, to observe proper
direction of travel on one-way streets, and to be properly
lighted at night. The law restricts carrying any other
person or carrying any article that prevents the rider
from using both hands on the handlebars, and prohibits
cyclists riding more than two abreast.
Under University regulations, riders may not take bicycles
inside University buildings. Bicycles must be parked
in the racks and on the pads provided. Registration
of bicycles is recommended. Contact Purdue Police at
49-48221 for information about bicycle registration.
