Facilities and Services
Health and Guidance: Counseling and Psychological Services
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) supports academic and personal development needs of Purdue students and their partners. CAPS’ multidisciplinary staff includes psychologists, clinical social workers, a psychiatrist, post-doctoral psychology fellows, pre-doctoral psychology interns, master’s-level therapists, and an assessment specialist.

Services include individual counseling, conjoint counseling, group therapy, workshop experiences, outreach, consultation, psychological testing, and drug and alcohol-related assessments and programming. Appropriate referrals can be arranged with community agencies, as needed. All services are confidential.

Both main locations and various satellite offices offer students some services free of charge. Check with the receptionist for further information.

For appointments and information, contact either of two CAPS locations: Psychological Sciences Building, Room 1120, or Purdue University Student Health Center, second floor. Call 49-46995. Hours are from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 5 p.m Monday through Friday. Some evening hours may be available at satellite offices.
