Health and Guidance: Counseling and Psychological Services |
Counseling
and Psychological Services (CAPS) supports academic
and personal development needs of Purdue students and
their partners. CAPS’ multidisciplinary staff
includes psychologists, clinical social workers, a
psychiatrist, post-doctoral psychology fellows, pre-doctoral
psychology interns, master’s-level therapists,
and an assessment specialist.
Services include individual counseling, conjoint counseling,
group therapy, workshop experiences, outreach, consultation,
psychological testing, and drug and alcohol-related assessments
and programming. Appropriate referrals can be arranged
with community agencies, as needed. All services are
confidential.
Both main locations and various satellite offices offer
students some services free of charge. Check with the
receptionist for further information.
For appointments and information, contact either of two
CAPS locations: Psychological Sciences Building, Room
1120, or Purdue University Student Health Center, second
floor. Call 49-46995. Hours are from 8 a.m. to noon and
from 1 to 5 p.m Monday through Friday. Some evening hours
may be available at satellite offices. |
