The Office of the Dean of International Programs (IP),
reporting to the Office of the Provost, coordinates
and helps to manage Purdue’s internationalization
efforts. This includes activities in the areas of education,
research, development, and study abroad. IP also is
responsible for Purdue’s participation in various
international associations and consortia such as MUCIA,
CIEE, NAFSA, etc. IP manages Purdue’s participation
in the Fulbright program, assists departments hosting
international scholars, and hosts many of the international
visitors to the University. IP also supports and coordinates
relationships between Purdue and various federal and
donor agencies for projects involving international
activities.
International Programs is an information clearinghouse for faculty and students about opportunities for study and research overseas. IP manages a variety of agreements for collaboration and partnership with overseas universities and helps academic units design and deliver specific programs and projects under these agreements. IP works closely with Purdue’s academic units to help them design and manage overseas activities (research, exchange, study abroad, study tours, etc.) that internationalize their curricula and that expose students and faculty to international opportunities for learning, discovery, and engagement.
Services for international faculty, staff, and students are provided through IP’s
Office of International Students and Scholars. Study
Abroad activities are managed through IP’s Office
of Programs for Study Abroad.
