Ross-Ade Foundation
Incorporated in November 1923 to finance the building of Purdue’s stadium, the Ross-Ade Foundation has aided the University by providing many other facilities, including the land and buildings (such as University parking facilities). This nonprofit corporation raised the funds to buy land and provide buildings at the Purdue regional campus at Hammond, the Industrial Research Building at Hammond, the Purdue University regional campus at Fort Wayne, the North Central regional campus, and the Indianapolis campus with its Krannert Building. The University pays annual rentals to the foundation to use the buildings and grounds until the debt is extinguished. When the property is debt-free, the foundation will transfer the property to Purdue University or rental charges will be reduced to the nominal sum of $1 per year.
