Purdue Memorial Union

The Purdue Memorial Union offers numerous dining options throughout the day.

Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen

Enjoy authentic Italian specialties including pasta, three kinds of pizza, and a new area, Pick & Mix, where you can help create your own salads.

La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill

Offering delicious “south of the border” cuisine, La Salsa features high quality, fresh ingredients and is famous for its salsa bar.

Flatbreads

A gourmet sandwich, salad, and soup concept, Flatbreads features hot artisan breads baked in a gas-fired, open-hearth oven.

Zia Juice

A new take on our popular Freshens concept, Zia Juice features freshley squeezed juices, a variety of delicious smoothies, and healthy snacks.

Lemongrass

Featuring wok-fired entrees and Pho soups, Lemongrass emphasizes vegetables, sauces, and spices found primarily in Thailand and Vietnam.

Sagamore Restaurant

For a change of pace, come up to the second floor and enjoy good food and a relaxed atmosphere, offering sit-down service for breakfast and lunch (reservations are recommended and are available by calling 49-48945). It also features dinner and Sunday brunch on special occasions.

Oasis CafÈ

The Oasis CafÈ specializes in deli wraps and sandwiches as well as specialty coffees, teas, and bakery items in a relaxed atmosphere.

Urban Market

Urban Market is an upscale convenience store featuring organic, sustainable, and natural foods, with a new cereal bar called Loops.

Pappy’s, the Original Sweet Shop

A “1950s” retro diner, complete with jukeboxes at the tables, Pappy’s offers burgers of all types, blue plate specials, sandwiches, and treats made from the original Purdue Creamery ice cream recipe.

PMU Catering

Ensure the success of your next banquet, private dinner party, or reception by calling on the professionals at the Union’s Catering and Events department. The staff is ready to help you with menu planning, room setup, and all the other details for events involving 10 to 1,000. Call PMU Catering at 49-48908.

The Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management operates two public food service facilities and a catering service. The dining facilities are open all year, but hours are limited during the summer and when school is not in session. Call 49-44643 or 49-46845 to confirm hours of operation. Personal checks are accepted.

The HTM CafÈ

This cafÈ in Stone Hall is operated as a teaching facility for HTM students. The University community and the general public are welcome for breakfast and lunch. Carry-out service is available. Service hours are:

Fall and Spring Semesters

Monday–Friday

7–9:30 a.m. — Hot breakfast

7–11 a.m. — Continental breakfast

11 a.m.–1 p.m. — Lunch

1:30–4 p.m. — Snacks

 

Mid-May to Mid-August

HTM CafÈ Express

The CafÈ Express is a walk-up window with “grab-n-go” in mind. It features sandwiches, wraps, salads, desserts, and beverages. Service hours are:

The John Purdue Room

In this table-service dining room in Stone Hall, HTM students gain experience during lunch and in the evening with the JPR Bistro. To make reservations for lunch, dinner, or private parties, call the HTM reservations office at 49-46845, 8 a.m. to noon or 1 to 5 p.m. JPR Bistro schedules are mailed upon request. Hours are:

Monday–Friday

11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m. — Lunch

5:30–7 p.m. — Dinner

HTM Catering

The HTM Department will cater events such as special meals in the John Purdue Room, parties off campus, meal delivery to your office, or trays prepared for pickup. For information or scheduling, call 49-44742 or 49-44732, 8 a.m. to noon or 1 to 5 p.m.

Purdue University Residences

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available daily. Hours of service vary from hall to hall during the academic year. The public is welcome. BoilerExpress accounts and University Residences Open Dining Cards can be used by faculty, staff, or Purdue students at entrances to dining facilities. Cash or credit cards can also be used at Earhart Dining Court, Ford Dining Court, Hillenbrand Dining Court, Wiley Dining Court, and Windsor Dining Court. Meal tickets may also be purchased with cash at the main office of Tarkington Hall. Call 49-41000 for more information, or, to check menus, meal times, and locations, visit www.housing.purdue.edu.

Dining Rooms and Formal Lounges

Some are available for meetings and catered events of various sizes. Contact the Director of University Residences Dining Services, at 49-41000.

Athletic Dining Room at Cary Quadrangle

This unique Purdue theme room serves Boilermaker athletes during the year. A variety of special events may be scheduled based upon availability. Call 49-49464 for additional information for scheduling or catered events.

Minimarts at Tarkington and Meredith Residence Halls

Open throughout the academic year, these convenience stores welcome faculty and staff. Cash, credit card, and BoilerExpress are accepted. Check for hours of operation at www.housing.purdue.edu.

Restaurants at Harrison Hall and Cary Quad

Late-night, quick-service restaurants at Harrison Hall and Cary Quad Southeast offer pizza, toasted subs, ice cream, and other snacks. The Cary Knight Spot Grill is open for lunch, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday during the academic year. Cash, credit card, and BoilerExpress are accepted.
