About one-third of the single undergraduate
students on the West Lafayette campus are housed in University
Residences. The rest live in fraternities, sororities, cooperatives,
or private off-campus housing.
UNIVERSITY RESIDENCES CAPACITIES. 11,557 spaces are available
for undergraduate students, graduate students, and student
families choosing to live on campus. Additional information
can be found at www.housing.purdue.edu.
PURDUE VILLAGE. For student families and single graduate
students, as space permits.
FRATERNITIES AND SORORITIES. Sixteen percent of the undergraduate student body are members of
the 48 fraternities
and 29 sororities
on campus. Housing is offered by 38 of these fraternities
and 15 of these sororities. Membership is by invitation
only.
COOPERATIVE HOUSES. Five cooperative houses for men; seven
for women. Students contribute four to six hours of work each
week. Residents select new members.
