Before you meet with your advisor

Schedule an appointment

Set up a thirty-minute meeting with your academic advisor through the BoilerConnect online calendar or by calling (765) 494-0843 and having your available dates and times ready for the secretary to schedule.  The BoilerConnect calendar is new as of May 2017, so here are instructions to sign up for an advising appointment.

Look up your Time Ticket

Your time ticket is the period of time that you are allowed to register for courses within MyPurdue.  It's based on how many credit hours you have earned so far. You can view your time ticket at MyPurdue > Registration tab > Registration Status link. If the end of a line says "11:59 pm" and the beginning of the next line says "12:00 am," those two lines represent a continuous time span.

Review CODO requirements

Check the CODO requirements of your majors of interest to see if there are courses you need to take to CODO. Likewise, if there are CODO meetings or CODO videos you need to watch, complete these requirements as soon as possible.

If you are ready to CODO, you can have your advisor print-out and sign your CODO-out papers during your registration appointment.

Prepare your degree plan of study for the major(s) that interest you

  • Open up your transcript: MyPurdue > Academics tab > View Unofficial Transcript link.
  • Highlight the courses you have already taken on your plan of study.
  • Circle courses you'd like to schedule for the next semester.
