Krannert Graduate School of Management (002225-2009)

Requirements:  The Krannert Graduate School of Management invites applicants for one or more tenure track appointments in accounting beginning fall 2010.  Rank is at either the assistant or associate professor level.  Candidates for an assistant professor position should have (or be near completion of) a doctorate and exhibit the capacity for research publishable in top-tier accounting journals and excellence in teaching.  Candidates for an associate professor position should have and earned doctorate and an established record of excellence in research, teaching and service on doctoral dissertation committees.  A tenured associate professor appointment is possible for a candidate with the appropriate credentials.  We seek individuals who can teach tax, financial or managerial accounting to undergraduate and graduate students depending on the candidate’s experience.  Opportunities to teach in the executive program may also be available.  We offer a competitive compensation package.

Faculty Position in Marketing (002255-2009)

Requirements: The Krannert School of Management at Purdue University has one tenure-track opening at the assistant or associate professor level in marketing to begin Fall 2010.

Qualifications:  Candidates must have a strong commitment to research and teaching in undergraduate and graduate programs in management and a research oriented Ph.D. program in marketing.  A Ph.D. in marketing or a related discipline is required.

Requirements: The Finance Area in the Krannert Graduate School of Management at Purdue University is accepting applications for one or more tenure-track positions at the West Lafayette, IN campus starting with the Fall 2010 semester.  Job duties will include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in finance, conducting research in field of expertise, attending department and university meetings, and overseeing student research.

School of Management Associate or Full Professor of Economics (002240-2009)

Requirements: The Economics Department at Purdue University is seeking one or more tenure track faculty at the Associate or Full Professor level, with the positions beginning August, 2010. 

The successful candidate will be expected to carry out research, supervise Ph.D. dissertation research, and teach at the graduate and undergraduate levels.  The position requires a Ph.D., evidence of research excellence, and a commitment to teaching.

Professor and The Brock Family Chair in Strategic Management (002238-2009)

Requirements: The Brock Family Chair is designed for a preeminent scholar who is internationally recognized for research and educational impact in the area of strategic management.  The Brock Family Professor will be expected to lead a world class research program and doctoral education within the Krannert School’s acclaimed Strategic Management area.  Candidates for the professorship should possess a clear vision of emerging research and educational opportunities in strategic management and be innovative in implementing their visions.

Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics (002186-2009)

The Department of Economics invites applications for one or more visiting assistant professor positions, either for one semester or two semesters during the academic year 2009-2010.

Requirements: The expected teaching load will be three courses per semester at the undergraduate and master’s level.  Most of the classes are expected to be sections of intermediate microeconomics, but at least one class may be a field course in some micro area, such as game theory, labor or international trade. 

Qualifications: The position requires a Ph.D. awarded at the time of hire.  Candidates must show evidence of research potential and a strong commitment to teaching.

Continuous Term Lecturer in Management (002183-2009)

The area of Managerial Communication in the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University (http:/www.mgmt.purdue.edu) is recruiting for a full-time lecturer (non-tenure track with full-time teaching responsibilities) beginning August 2009.

Requirements: Primary teaching responsibility will be to teach a core course in Managerial Communication at the graduate level.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in English, Communication, or other related area is required.  Experience teaching at the college level for a minimum of three years preferred.  Presentation skills must be demonstrated.  Ability to work under pressure is required.

The Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management (OBHR) group in the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University, West Lafayette, invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track faculty position in Organizational Behavior and Human Resources, with the appointment effective as of August 2009.

Requirements:  We are open to any applicant who shows outstanding promise as a teacher, researcher, and colleague.  We are particularly interested in candidates who have an outstanding record of innovative and highly regarded OB and/or HR research at any level of analysis (e.g., micro, macro, meso).  Opportunities exist to teach subjects at the undergraduate, MS, MBA, or Ph.D. level.  Potential for teaching in executive degree programs is desirable, though not required.
