Position: Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Department of Nutrition Science, 9-month, tenure or tenure track, teaching/research.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will maintain an independent and productive research program. S/he will plan, direct, maintain, and evaluate the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) to meet Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics, formerly Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) requirements. S/he will teach courses in the DPD curriculum and other courses as needed and manage a dietetics program assistant (MS/RD) to administer the DPD program Additional Departmental/School/University activities may include recruitment, advising and outreach as well as other committees assigned and/or elected.
Qualifications: PhD degree in Nutrition or related field and R.D. credential required. Evidence of capability to build a well-developed independent and/or collaborative research program in an area that fits within the signature research areas of the Department (Appetite, Metabolism and Obesity; Cancer Prevention; Calcium, Vitamin D and Bone; Botanicals and Bioactives for Health) or in dietetics education. Experience and competence in college level teaching, dietetics, and postdoctoral research experience are desired. Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills should be demonstrated.
