Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology (002691-2012)
The Department of Psychological Sciences at Purdue University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Clinical Psychology at the Assistant Professor level beginning in the Fall of 2013. The Clinical Program at Purdue University has been continuously accredited by the American Psychological Association since 1948 and, consistent with its clinical science orientation, intends to apply for PCSAS accreditation in the near future.
Qualifications: The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in clinical psychology, a strong publication history, a research program with high likelihood of external funding, and a potential for teaching and mentoring excellence.
Responsibilities: Faculty responsibilities will include maintaining a productive research program, directing graduate student research, and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. There are no restrictions placed on the content of the candidate’s research. The ideal candidate will build on existing strengths within the Clinical Area and/or Department; such strengths include Externalizing Psychopathology, Aggression, Personality, Substance Use and Misuse, Relationships, Culture and Ethnicity, and Eating Disorders.
