Continuing Lecturer of Art and Design (002633-2012)
Position: Continuing Lecturer – non tenure track and half-time.
Salary: $16,500. Eligible to receive medical benefits and upon a three year waiting period retirement benefits.
Responsibilities: Teach two undergraduate courses in Art Education. These include an art education methods course for Elementary Education majors involving lecture. Hold office hours and participate in departmental activities.
Qualifications: M.A. or M.S. degree required, preferably in Art Education. Prior art teaching experience in public school required. This course curriculum requires a broad knowledge of current art education curriculum theory, construction, and development, instructional methodologies, assessment methodologies, visual art education standards, and appropriate elementary school studio practices in the visual arts.
School: The Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts include the departments of Art and Design and theatre and the Divisions of Dance and Music. Visual and Performing Arts has over 600 undergraduate majors, 50 graduate students, and 58 continuing faculty. The School is located in a new $41 million state-of-the-art complex that was completed fall of 2005.
