Assistant or Associate Professor of Mathematics (002729-2012)The Mathematics Department at Purdue University invites applications for appointments in mathematics at the level of tenure track assistant professor or tenured associate professor for August 2013. Appointments will be made based on demonstrated research and teaching qualifications. Ph.D. (or its equivalent) in mathematics or a closely related field is required. The target areas are number theory and representation theory.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct research in mathematics. Teach undergraduate and/or graduate mathematics courses. An associate professor hire would also mentor junior faculty and participate in the governance of the Department, College, and University by serving on faculty committees.
