Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science (002777-2012)

The Department of Computer Science at Purdue invites applications for tenure-track positions at the assistant professor level beginning August 2013. Outstanding candidates in all areas of Computer Science will be considered. Applicants with a multi-disciplinary focus are also encouraged to apply.

Requirements: The Department of Computer Science offers a stimulating and nurturing academic environment. Faculty members direct research programs in bioinformatics, databases, distributed and parallel computing, graphics and visualization, information security, machine learning, networking, programming languages, scientific computing, software engineering, and theory. Qualifications: All applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, or a closely related discipline, be committed to excellence in teaching, and have demonstrated potential for excellence in research. The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in computer science, conduct research in their field of expertise and participate in other department and university activities. Salary and benefits are highly competitive.
