Faculty Position in Water Resources and Ecohydrologic Engineering (002983-2013)
Position: Assistant Professor of Agricultural and Biological Engineering.
Responsibilities: Develop a nationally and internationally recognized research and teaching program focused on environmental and natural resources engineering, modeling of hydrologic and ecological processes, and/or the restoration of aquatic ecosystems. Research areas may include designing urban low impact development and agricultural conservation practices, stream and riparian area restoration engineering, wetland design for optimizing ecological functions, the sustainability of current water resource management with a focus on the changing demands of agriculture, industry and society; impact of land management changes on water quality and quantity and corresponding impact on ecosystems; and hydrological transport of chemicals and micro-organisms and associated ecological response. The successful candidate will have a distinguished academic record, develop and independent research program and will teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Water Resources Engineering.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral level degree in Agricultural, Biological, Civil Engineering or closely related field with strong research emphasis on water resources modeling and sustainability is required. PE licensure is desired.
