Clinical/Professional Assistant Professor (002980-2013)

The Department of Technology Leadership & Innovation (TLI) at Purdue University invites applications for a clinical assistant professor position at the West Lafayette campus. This position is a fiscal year appointment (12 months) to begin in August 2014. The TLI department is an undergraduate and graduate (MS & PhD) degree-granting program designed to prepare contemporary leaders with knowledge and skills to lead organizations and enterprises of the future where technology and information are drivers of innovation in new products, services, business models and policies. 

The qualified candidate shall have expertise in the area/s of: organizational leadership, organizational change and behavior, leadership theory, strategy and innovation management, and leadership development.  The clinical assistant professor position will focus predominantly on undergraduate teaching and developing learning activities. Candidates should have a background and expertise in implementing innovative pedagogical techniques conducive to the contemporary learner.  Additionally, the candidate is responsible for facilitating: experiential and project base learning activities, undergraduate capstone activities, activities that provide a global perspective on learning, activities related to innovation and entrepreneurship, and coordinate appropriate field experiences for students in the program.  Preference will be given to candidates who can pair academic excellence with experience working within technology-rich organizations.

Qualifications: Individuals should have an earned doctorate in a relevant discipline, an exemplary teaching record, and 2 to 5 years of experience in facilitating activities in organizational leadership, organizational change and behavior, leadership theory, strategy and innovation management, and leadership development.
