Assistant or Associate, Tenure-track Professor (002979-2013)
The Department of Technology Leadership & Innovation (TLI) at Purdue University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor position at the West Lafayette campus. This is an academic year appointment to begin August 2014. The TLI department is an undergraduate and graduate (MS & PhD) degree-granting program designed to prepare contemporary leaders with knowledge and skills to lead organizations and enterprises of the future where technology and information are drivers of innovation in new products, services, business models and policies.
Job Duties: The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active program of funded research, provide demonstrated excellence in teaching, and maintain a high level of professional engagement.
Potential areas of teaching and research specialization include but are not restricted to: leading innovative digital organizations and digital enterprises, strategic leadership and governance related to innovation ecosystems, open and collaborative innovation, innovation virtual teams and social media, analytics and human decision making, and/or business model innovation.
TLI hosts several research centers including the Research Center for Open Digital Innovation (www.purdue.edu/opendigital) providing a home for scholars who aspire to shape the future of technology and innovation leadership in a global and digital economy. These centers offer an inspiring environment to support an international research agenda and for global partnerships.
Qualifications: Candidates should have an earned doctorate in Technology Leadership & Innovation or a relevant discipline, a record of scholarship and expertise in one or more of the following areas: Technology Leadership, Strategic Leadership, Leadership Theory and Organizational Change with a particular emphasis on technology-intensive environments. The position requires scholarship of research, teaching, and engagement as is required for tenure and promotion in rank. .
