Continuing Lecturer, Art & Design in Foundation Drawing (002903-2013)
Compensation: $16,000-$17,500 per academic year, depending on qualifications. Eligible to receive medical benefits and upon a three year waiting period retirement benefits.
Responsibilities: Serve as faculty coordinator for drawing foundations program each semester, and teach one undergraduate course per semester as determined by departmental needs. The position requires participation in usual departmental activities and service on departmental committees as assigned.
Qualifications: M.F.A. required. Prior university teaching beyond Graduate Teaching Assistant level preferred. Strong life drawing, observational drawing, conceptual and expressive drawing abilities required. Active exhibition record and creative endeavor strongly desired.The Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Visual and Performing Arts is in the College of Liberal Arts and includes the Department of Art and Design, Division of Dance, Division of Music, and Department of Theatre. Visual and Performing Arts has 620 undergraduate majors, 52 graduate students, and 48 continuing faculty. The School is located in a $41 million complex that was completed fall of 2005.
