Assistant Professor of Chinese (002902-2013)

Beginning tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chinese to begin August 2014

Duties:  Teach a broad range of Chinese language, literature, and film studies at the undergraduate and graduate level.  Maintain an active research agenda.

Qualifications:  Ph. D. in Chinese or related field expected by August 2014.  Native-like fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English; demonstrated evidence of excellence in research and in teaching language, literature and culture in Chinese and English.

Areas of specialization:  Modern and/or contemporary Chinese literature and culture. Interests in cultural studies, interdisciplinary studies, gender studies, film studies, language pedagogy or comparative literature are welcome.
