Assistant Professor of Classics, School of Languages and Cultures (002901-2013)

Beginning tenure-track Assistant Professor of Classics to begin August 2014.

Duties: Teach a broad range of undergraduate Greek and Latin language and literature courses; culture and receptions courses in English; develop new courses for the Classical Studies Program; and participate as needed in other humanities programs in the College of Liberal Arts.

Required Qualifications:  Ph.D. in hand by August 2014 in Classics or related field. Demonstrated evidence of excellence in research and teaching.

Preferred Areas of Specialization:  Research field open.  We welcome scholars with an interest in ancient drama (tragic and comic, in both languages) and ancient theatre production.

Desired: Refereed publications.
