Director, Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (002882-2013)
The Department of Nutrition Science in the College of Health and Human Sciences (HHS) seeks applicants for a tenure track faculty position.
Requirements: As the leader of our Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CPD), the position requires a strong commitment to the field of dietetic training and includes responsibilities in discovery, learning, and engagement. The successful candidate will direct the CPD, supervise a full-time MS, RD operational manager for the CPD, teach courses for the CPD, and conduct high-quality nutrition research. Research should support one of our signature areas: Calcium, Vitamin D and Bone Health; Botanicals and Bioactives for Health; Cancer Prevention; Appetite, Metabolism, and Obesity. Applicants can work from any perspective (e.g. molecular mechanism, clinical intervention, population science).
Qualifications: All applicants must have a PhD or equivalent degree in Nutrition or a closely related field, up-to-date certification as an RD, post-doctoral training, dietetic practice experience, a strong research publication record, and either demonstrated (Associate/Full Professor level) or potential (Assistant Professor level) to obtain external research funding. Additional desired experiences include personnel management and working as or with supervised-practice preceptors.
