Faculty Position in Technology Leadership & Innovation

The Organizational Leadership program in the Department of Technology Leadership & Innovation at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, invites applications for a tenure track faculty position beginning Fall 2017. This is an academic year appointment and the faculty rank will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience. The position involves scholarship of discovery, teaching, and engagement as is required for tenure and/or promotion in rank.

The qualified candidates must have an earned doctorate in human resource development, human resources, organizational leadership, management, I–O Psych, or a closely related field. Candidates must have a conceptual understanding of human resource development in organizations, evidence of capacity to build a research agenda focused on various aspects of human resource development, particularly in the areas of people analytics; human resource information systems; performance evaluation and improvement; global talent development and management; and strategic HRD. 


Successful candidates will be involved in further developing and delivery of the undergraduate and graduate curricula, building collaborative relationships with colleagues on campus in related disciplines; and providing leadership for ongoing program and departmental efforts. Candidates must have a strong publication record or demonstrate evidence of potential for publication in HRD and/or closely related fields; evidence of success with or promise for funded research and grants; and evidence of or potential for a national and international scholarly reputation in HRD. Teaching experience in diverse environments including undergraduate level would be a plus. Faculty is also expected to participate in the activities of relevant professional organizations, particularly in the Academy of Human Resource Development, and participate in the program, department, college, University, and community service or other outreach activities.
