Frequently Asked Questions

Use the Comments form to ask your question if you don't find the answer here.

Q. Are these programs Year 2000 compliant?

A. Yes. Purdue University has tested all of them, and they're okay, including the older DOS programs.

Q. When are you going to update the software?

A. For any major revision, we must get funded to do so. EPA has funded Purdue University to create these programs under cooperative agreements. If a program needs to be updated, we must find funding from the appropriate program office in EPA (e.g. Water would be the most likely source of funding for an update to Lead in Drinking Water).

Updates to factual information -to correct errors, or to reflect scientific findings or changes in policy- are generally be done on an ongoing basis.

Q. Can you link to my Web site? We produce environmental software too.

A. We may not link to commercial Web sites for the purpose of promoting their products. We do sometimes link to sites of other government agencies or nonprofit organizations.
