Mission and Vision Statement

Enrollment Management Analysis and Reporting will be a national model in higher education for data, analysis, and technology related to undergraduate recruitment, management, and retention of students, while continuing to provide the highest level of customer service to the student population and University at large. The office works towards its vision by providing timely, accurate, and relevant data and technologies regarding the recruitment, enrollment, and retention of students that allows the University to achieve its strategic goals and initiatives

History

The office was created in 2003 by combining two existing departments:

  • Marketing Operations and Analysis – Provided operational and data support for the recruitment efforts of the Office of Admissions and the University’s Academic Colleges and Schools
  • Registrar’s Research Group – Official source of all current student reporting including enrollment, academic outcomes, retention, and degree completion

 


Specific Responsibilities

  • Administration of the University’s undergraduate recruitment system
    • HobsonsConnect – typically contains approximately one million prospective student records from sixth grade through high school seniors
  • Provide data and system support for the University’s undergraduate recruitment efforts
    • Typically consists of over 750 campus visits, 21 large on-campus event, and over 30 off campus receptions that combined serve over 29,000 guests, as well as provide recruitments lists for the over 1,000,000 print materials and 300,000 emails the office of Admissions distributes every year
  • Official source for enrollment, degrees conferred, and retention reporting
  • Complete the IPEDS student data for completions, institutional characteristics, enrollment, and graduation rates
  • Complete the NCAA graduation success rate survey
  • Provide data for numerous institutional surveys and reports
    • Examples include US News and World Report annual survey of best colleges, Common Data Set, Purdue Data Digest
  • Responsible for semester based and annual long term enrollment projections
  • Provide business analyst support for the BANNER reporting tool –Operational Data Store (ODS), COGNOS reporting tool
  • Provide data and analysis for numerous adhoc reports from the broader campus community
