Vision Statement
The Office of Admissions’ key responsibilities are the recruitment and selection of a qualified and diverse student body. The staff will continually strive to develop and refine strategies that are equitable; enhance productivity; use resources efficiently; and promote cooperation between our office, various units across campus, and secondary school personnel.
Consistent with the missions of the University and Student Services, the Office of Admissions will maintain a professional environment, which contributes positively to the development and growth of its staff—one which promotes continuous improvement as a way to serve students and the greater University community.
Mission Statement
The Purdue University Office of Admissions serves to attract and enroll undergraduate students who are academically prepared to succeed; personally motivated to become active members and leaders within our campus community; and who contribute to the diversity of thought, background, and experiences of our student population.
Values

Collaboration - to strive to work with all University offices and units to recruit each year’s class.
Integrity- to recognize the importance of honesty in our decision-making, knowing that the better prepared applicant will be the successful college student.
Humor- to recognize the importance of having a positive office atmosphere that supports fun and camaraderie.
Professional Development - to understand the importance of staff development and encourage staff members to take advantage of opportunities on- and off-campus that allow staff to learn and grow both professionally and personally.
