Office of Engagement for Indianapolis

The office is Purdue's main outreach liaison for business, industry and educational partnerships in central Indiana. Its mission is to help the central Indiana area stay competitive in the new economy.

The office serves as central Indiana's key contact for Purdue's Technical Assistance Program, the Purdue Research Park's high-tech business incubation complex, Purdue's Statewide Technology Program, Discovery Park and Purdue's Gateways Program, which assists high-tech startup companies in the Purdue Research Park.

It works closely with an alliance of Indiana business and research university leaders, called the Central Indiana Corporate Partnership, to promote economic development, and advanced manufacturing, which includes knowledge and technology-based types of manufacturing. The office also has a partnership with the Indiana Economic Development Corp., Techpoint, The Indiana Health Industry Forum, the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce, the Indiana Manufacturing Association and the Indiana Motorsports Association.

The office also is charged with raising the awareness of opportunities for education partnership in the areas of Life Science, Information Technology and Distribution Transportation Logistics.
