IPFW-- Engagement Office
Sean Ryan, Director

"Bringing together the resources of three great universities to help build the future of northeast Indiana"

The Office of University Engagement for Northeast Indiana is located at the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center across from the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) campus. The office was created jointly by IPFW, Purdue University, Indiana University, and the Northeast Indiana Corporate Council. The office serves as a community partner in key regional economic development, strategic planning and workforce development initiatives utilizing the resources of the partner universities.

The mission of the office is to:
  • Serve as a key contact for access to IPFW, Purdue, and Indiana University programs for regional businesses, government and community partnerships.
  • Facilitates community access to research capabilities, technical expertise, intellectual property, educational services and co-op/internship programs from the university partners.
  • Provides representation for regional businesses and business partners to the universities in the development and enhancement of university programs.

It serves as Purdue's main outreach liaison for business, industry and educational partnerships for a 13-county region in northeast Indiana. The office serves as northeast Indiana’s key contact for Purdue's Technical Assistance Program, the Purdue Research Park's high-tech business incubation complex, Purdue's Statewide Technology Program, the Purdue Office of Technology Commercialization and Discovery Park. The office also serves to raise awareness of partnership opportunities between business and education in the areas of life sciences, information technology and transportation logistics.
