Re:            Benefits Ambassadors Program

I am pleased to announce a program focused on engaging faculty and staff in all aspects of Purdue’s benefits – including medical plans, the Center for Healthy Living, family friendly initiatives, leaves, retirement - and improving the health of our campus.

The goal of the “Benefits Ambassadors Program” is to recruit interested and able faculty and staff to act as liaisons to the University’s Benefits team in an effort to promote overall health - physical, mental and financial health and wellness – on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus. The ambassadors will help inform and motivate colleagues to achieve healthier lifestyles by providing information on the variety of benefits resources available, sharing suggestions and ideas in committee meetings and actively advocating health and wellness benefits among their co-workers.

Human Resources has created an overview and frequently asked questions for the program.

Communication will begin this week to supervisors in an effort to increase participation among staff. Additional communication includes presentations to DFAs and APSAC/CCSAC, via Purdue Today and the April issue of HR Connect.

Questions can be directed to Human Resources at 49-42222 or via email at hr@purdue.edu.
