It is with great pleasure that I announce Dr. Diane Beaudoin as the Director of Institutional Assessment. Dr. Beaudoin was chosen after a national search for the position. She will serve as Purdue’s liaison with the Higher Learning Commission on our overall accreditation efforts as well as coordinating the various departmental accreditation efforts. She will also lead Purdue’s efforts to assess, evaluate, and report on student learning and other outcomes from the student growth measurement initiative, our core curriculum, and various departments and programs.

Diane earned her Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from NC State in 1996, and has over 10 years of experience in assessment at both the departmental and institutional level. She has provided assessment and accreditation services for Purdue in the College of Engineering and the Provost’s office as well as serving as an IDEAL scholar for the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Dr. Beaudoin most recently has served as the Interim Director of Institutional Assessment at Purdue since the department was founded last April.
