Critters, Cages, and Climate

Teachers in Grades K-12
 
 

What:

   Participants will attend a 10-day Summer Institute, plus  three One-day Follow-up Workshops.
 
 

When:

July 7-18, 2008
 
 

Where:

Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN
 
 

Why:

By exploring a problem in climate change (Critters, Cages, and Climate) using an integrated science approach, participants will learn how to use physical, chemical, biological, and earth science concepts to investigate climate change. Participants will gain detailed science knowledge and an understanding of the use of inquiry in the classroom. See Workshop Objectives for a description of project goals.

Benefits:

SISI provides lodging and meals, lesson plans and materials for implementation in your classroom. Teachers will also receive a stipend of $60 per day.
