Ben Cotton

Ben is a 2006 graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Synoptic Meteorology. Having worked as a student employee in EAS for 4 years, Ben joined the department full-time in September 2006. In his spare time, Ben enjoys storm chasing, amateur radio, and making movies with LEGO.

 

Lingyun Wang

Lingyun graduated from Columbia University with a M.S. in Chemical Engineering. She joined Purdue in June 2007. She spends most of her free time with her two lovely kids. She feels enjoyable listening to her son playing piano and cello and watching her little daughter drawing creatively. She very often joins them.

Kate Brown

Kate Brown is a Computer Science student originally from the South Bend area. She's worked for companies like IBM and Raytheon during the summer. She has worked for the Earth and Atmospheric Science department for over a year. In addition to her Computer Science studies, she also enjoys classes in the history, psychology, and anthropology departments. When not studying, she enjoys reading and crochet.

Jon Dosmann

Jonathan Dosmann is a Computer Engineering student originally from the South Bend area. He has worked for the Earth and Atmospheric Science department for over a year, enjoying the hardware aspect of the job the most. In his free time he enjoys tinkering with his own electronics and Swing Dancing. He also enjoys his leadership role in Purdue's swing dance club as their outreach officer.

Prisilia Paramita

Prisilia Paramita is a Computer Science student originally from Jakarta, Indonesia. She spent the last two summers working with Motorola both in Schaumburg, IL and Libertyville, IL. She has been working for the Earth and Atmospheric Science department for over a year now. In her free time, she likes reading and traveling. Her goal is to visit at least 1 city in every US state before going back to her country for good.

David Boersma

David Boersma is originally from the Connersville, IN area. He is a junior majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Japanese and Math. He has been working at EAS for over a year now and has enjoyed the experience very much. In his free time he enjoys playing computer games as well as role-playing games such as Dungeons and Dragons. He is an active member of the Purdue Science Student Council, serving as webmaster and a member of the executive committee of the council.
