IPCC, including Prof. Kevin Gurney, shares Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore
The winners of the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize were recently announced. The recipients were former Vice President Al Gore and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). The IPCC consists of about 2500 international climate scientists including Earth and Atmospheric Sciences Professor Kevin Gurney. The fourth IPCC climate change assessment report, published this year, was based on recent computer modeling of global climate.
