Purdue’s Climate Change Research Center part of National Conversation on Climate Action

Kevin Gurney will present to the Indianapolis GreenPrint Commission in Indianapolis at the Indianapolis Zoo Education Center on October 4. Gurney, associate director of the Purdue Climate Change Research Center, will assist the City of Indianapolis in clarifying the science associated with global warming and offer up potential solutions as to how the city can advance its efforts for climate change. Indianapolis is being featured by the National Conversation on Climate Action event being held simultaneously on October 4 in 60 communities across the country. Gurney will present that day from 5:00-5:30. A public forum about solutions to local climate action and an informal reception for continued discussion and networking will follow. The commission is a group tasked by the mayor of Indianapolis to create a community action plan for making Indianapolis a more sustainable city that contributes to climate protection and promotes energy efficiency and conservation.
