WHAT’S UP WITH OUTREACH?

Thursday, March 02, 2006 (3 – 4 p.m.)
Rock identification activities with groups of elementary school students at Suncrest Elementary School in Frankfort. This is apart of their after school enrichment program from 3 – 4 p.m.

Wednesday, March 15, 2006 (morning)
Indiana's Envirothon program. This is a statewide competition held in the spring for teams of high school students. North Central Regional contest, held at Camp Buffalo in Buffalo, IN (White County)

Thursday, March 23, 2006 (9 –10:30 a.m.)
Earthquakes with kindergarten right here in the CIVIL building!!

Saturday, March 25, 2006 (all day)
State Science Olympiad Competition!!! College of Science will be hosting this event all over campus. Help out at one of the events or take your turn staffing the EAS booth giving away prizes and chatting with students!!

Wednesday’s in April 2006 (every Wednesday in April, 3 – 4 p.m.)
Weather activities with Clinton Prairie Elementary after school enrichment program.

Saturday and Sunday April 8 – 9, 2006 (all day event)
SPRING FEST!!! Yes it’s back again this year. Take a shift in the tent doing cool activities and having fun.

Tuesday, April 11, 2006 (9:30 – 10:30 a.m.)
Activity with middle school students here in the CIVIL building. I haven’t decided what to do with them yet. If you are interested in helping with a particular subject then we will do that one!!

Wednesday, April 19, 2006 (5 – 6 p.m.)
4-H Geology event at the Clinton County 4-H fair grounds.

Wednesday, April 12, 2006 (10 – 11 a.m.)
Weather with preschool. We will be doing weather activities at Purdue preschool in the Green Room.

Week of May 1st, 2006
Focus on Science Event!! This will be a one day elementary activity at Spencer Elementary.

May 11 &12, 2006 (all day)
International Science and Engineering Fair.
We will be setting up in a booth doing activities for students from all over the world!!

May 12, 2006 (all day)
Field day at the Remington Park, in Remington IN for 5th grade students. This would be running a water station activity that I already have ready to go!!

May 19, 2006 (all day)
Jasper Pulaski State Game Preserve field day. This is a large field day event for 4th grade students. It is held in the refuge area. It is awesome. They need 3 or 4 water stations for this one. I have several good activities ready to go, just pick one!!
