Short-term Plan

Leverage the integrative capabilities and
resources of the Bindley Bioscience Center of Discovery Park, along with the Schools of
Agriculture, Engineering, Pharmacy, Science and Veterinary Medicine to launch the initiative with a broad perspective. These resources potentially

include cost-sharing on grants and equipment, graduate student support and technical staff, seed money for technology development, and ultimately space in the BBC building.

The research areas are initially organized into five themes.

Instrumentation & Tools
Biomaterials
Molecular
Cellular
Tissue

Objective
Integrate researchers from the life sciences and engineering across campus with expertise and interests in tissue and cellular engineered systems, to create new, innovative and interdisciplinary research and education opportunities.
