Eta Sigma Iota is a homeland security professional student organization that seeks to bring together students and faculty across the country who are interested in issues related to the field of homeland security. Eta Sigma Iota sponsors seminars, workshops and speakers, provides training and certification opportunities to foster volunteers who can assist in emergency response, spreads awareness of roles and responsibilities relating to homeland security within the community, and supports networking opportunities for students seeking career prospects within government and industry. Homeland Security and Purdue Libraries
Purdue Homeland Security Institute and the Management and Economics Library (MEL) partnered in 2006/2007 to obtain Homeland Security Resources for the Purdue West Lafayette Campus. Over $5000 in books, videos and journals were purchased to enhance a variety of homeland security studies topics. The partnership with MEL continues.
