Lafayette, Indiana
“It’s just a phone” is the philosophy of many business owners.
However, when yours isn’t working correctly, it’s a major problem.
Wyatt Communications makes it work for you.
A locally owned and operated provider of business telecommunications equipment,
Wyatt is an interconnect company, providing equipment that connects to dial tone
or special circuits. It provides business telephone systems, auto-attendant,
voicemail, music-on-hold, telephone line surge protections, commercial overhead
paging systems and the latest in cabling infrastructures that will support the
latest in voice and data technologies.
Bill Wyatt, president and founder, had more than 17 years’ experience in
the industry, holding positions from entry level installer to service manager
for one of the largest interconnects in Indiana before founding Wyatt Communications
Inc. in 1998. He oversees product development, marketing, sales and service.
Bill first came to the Greater Lafayette Small Business Development Center in
the fall of 1998. He was getting ready for a January 1999 opening. He worked
with the SBDC on a focus for the business and put together a three-year business
plan.
“The SBDC greatly assisted in my development of a structured and focused
business plan,” he says. “That business plan laid the foundation
for what Wyatt Communications is today. Without the focus of a strategic plan,
I would not have survived the rapid growth we experienced in the first three
years,” he says. Wyatt Communications met its three-year sales projection
after just 18 months.
