How to Start Your Business Workshop

The Greater Lafayette Small Business Development Center hosts a monthly How to Start Your Business workshop that meets from 1 to 4:30 p.m. These are open to anyone interested in starting any type of business. It’s a great way to get a quick, focused overview of the various start-up aspects you’ll want to consider early in your business planning.

Practicing professionals cover these and related business topics:

• Marketing
• Accounting and taxes
• Insurance

Entrepreneurship Academy
Meets weekly for 10 weeks
$245

The Greater Lafayette Small Business Development Center regularly offers a custom-designed Entrepreneurship Academy. It meets from 6 to 9 p.m. once a week for 10 weeks. The academy is open to anyone interested in launching any type of business, in taking a recent start-up business to the next level or simply learning more about how small business works.

A take-home course guide provides in-depth information, and practicing professionals bring up-to-the-minute information and insights to each session.

Created by the Greater Lafayette Small Business Development Center to meet the needs of local entrepreneurs, the academy covers key business subjects with a focus on topics specific to this region of Indiana, providing valuable local, county and Indiana information.

Participants will hear presentations from more than a dozen area attorneys, bankers, accountants, real estate professionals, marketing professionals, consultants and business owners, with time allowed for questions and answers.
