There are many different methods to dispose of hazardous waste. Some, such as using or recycling, are preferred over others, such as burning. Since hazardous wastes vary so much in their toxicity and chemical makeup, some methods of disposal are better than others. It is up to you to seek out a waste management facility like a licensed landfill or an incinerator that is appropriate for your type of hazardous waste. Generally, storing or disposing of wastes on-site is not a good idea. It is better to have a licensed professional take care of the waste for you. But always remember:

Whatever happens to the hazardous waste between the time it is in your possession and it is at the waste facility is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
