There are many things to consider when storing wastes on-site.Generally, it is not a good idea to store large amounts of hazardous wastes on-site for any length of time. The sooner wastes are removed by a licensed waste contractor the better.
Disposing of hazardous wastes on-site is illegal unless you obtain a permit. Only under special circumstances may is it legal to dispose of certain types of hazardous waste on your site without a permit.
Use extreme caution any time you are handling wastes for storage or disposal, and most importantly, use common sense. You must be prepared for accidents and plan for emergencies if you decide to store or dispose your wastes on-site.
