Disposal of hazardous waste from farms is regulated under federal statutes and under some state regulations. The laws regulating hazardous waste and its disposal are contained in RCRA. There are some exemptions in the act based on the amount of waste generated and where it is generated. You may be required to obtain a U.S. EPA Identification number. There are a number of organizations and agencies that can be checked with to find out about local laws regarding disposal methods and generators.
