Purpose of Center for Coal Technology Research

The Center for Coal Technology Research (CCTR) became effective in 2003 and is one of the energy initiative centers located in the Energy Center at Discovery Park, Purdue University. Its purpose is to combine engagement and discovery missions to make for cost effective use of Indiana's abundant coal resources with appropriate care given to the environment.

Senate Enrolled Act No. 29 legally established the CCTR at Purdue and provides the full statement of its terms of reference. Click here to read SB29.
