ELEVATOR PITCH COMPETITION

In 2 minutes or less convince a panel of judges of the value of your business idea.

Two Competition Categories:

  • Certificate in Entrepreneurship Program Students
  • Practicing entrepreneurs from Purdue Research Park
Prizes to Each Category:
1st place: $1,000
2nd place: $500
3rd place: $250
T-shirts for all participants

Competition Guidelines for Students
Open to teams or individuals. At least one team member must be enrolled in the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program, or have at one time been enrolled in an ENTR designated class.

What is an Elevator Pitch?
An elevator pitch is a concise and well practiced description of a business venture that you would deliver if you found yourself in an elevator with a potential investor. In 1-2 minutes, the pitch should describe:

  • Your product or service
  • Your market and its size
  • How you plan to make money
  • Your leadership team
  • Your competition
  • Your competitive advantage
