Purdue Women Lead

Purdue Women Lead is an initiative of the Butler Center for Leadership Excellence in partnership with the Women’s Resource Office. It was created  to provide support to women in formal leadership positions at Purdue.  Building on the efforts of the AAC&U’s Campus Women Lead program, our goal is to encourage women leaders to build alliances, develop spheres of influence and better understand the institutional landscape.

In spring 2009, PWL hosted a webinar series on women and leadership led by Purdue alum Rebecca Shambaugh, President and CEO of SHAMBAUGH Leadership. We also host monthly workshops, seminars, keynote speakers and faculty researchpresentations on topics on a range of topics of interest to women and work including work-life balance, gender and careers, intergenerational relationships, workplace civility and  women’s health issues.  The 60 women identified for the Campus Women Lead program in 2008 were invited to be a part of the Purdue Women Lead project.
