This day-long meeting is part of a conference series focused on “Emerging Research on Families and Health” supported by NIH/NICHD and Center for Families at Purdue University. Support for this meeting also is provided by the Brian Lamb School of Communication, Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering, and the College of Liberal Arts, Purdue University. Through this conference, we hope to inform researchers and practitioners of new research regarding the role of patients’ spouses and family in their health care and chronic disease management.
