Steve Witz has 26 years of hospital administration experience, serving as president at St. Patrick Hospital and Health Science Center in Missoula, Montana, and senior vice president and chief operating officer at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics. He received his doctorate in hospital and healthcare administration in 1986 from the University of Minnesota.

For over 30 years, Ken Musselman has actively consulted in the aerospace, automotive, communications, computers, consumer products, electronics, healthcare, metals and transportation. Most recently, he was the director of implementation for Cantilevel Technologies, a venture company in the Purdue Technology Center. He holds PhD and MS degrees from Purdue University.

Rich Zink

Rich Zink is responsible for developing and supporting CatalyzeCare and the communities of healthcare providers and researchers whoare working on this collaboration platform to transform the healthcare delivery system. He has a diverse background in healthcare, automotive, aerospace, software, and machinery industries and has held roles in engineering, project management, and information technology. Most recently, he was an IT application manager for Donaldson Company. He received undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.

Amira Zamin manages center marketing communications and special events, from strategy development to tactical completion. She joined the center in 2008, after spending four year with Purdue Marketing Communications, and interning with several different hospital systems. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Iowa, and is a member of the American Marketing Association and the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development.

Ping Huang

Ping Huang joined the center in April 2008 as the center's first research scientist. She is responsible for all phases of large-scale research efforts, including developing research topics, assembling and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams, authoring and coordinating technical content, and conducting significant portions of grant research. Huang earned her doctorate in Quantitative Methods and Management Sciences from Purdue University in 2008. She previously worked at TRW Automotive as a Programmer/Business Analyst, and as a senior CAD development engineer at Intel Corp.

Zhiyi Tian

Zhiyi Tian joined the center as its first data analyst and biostatistician. Her previous experience was with the Geriatrics Center at the University of Michigan, where she performed statistical analyses of studies on frailty, multimorbidity, disability and geriatric syndrome. She earned her master of arts degree in applied mathematics at Eastern Michigan University, where she was given the Award for Excellence in Graduate Mathematics. She also completed a master of science degree in biostatistics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Brandon Pope

Brandon joined RCHE in the Fall of 2011 as an associate research scientist, jointly appointed with the School of Industrial Engineering. Brandon's research interests lie in the design, operations, and analysis of healthcare systems, with a focus on incentives. Since joining RCHE, Brandon has worked on research projects related to reducing unnecessary readmissions, measurement and analysis of patient-centeredness in the primary care setting, and quality and efficiency analysis of the U.S. hospital industry. Brandon holds a PhD and ME from Texas A&M University in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
