Paul Griffin's appointment as director of RCHE became effective on January 1, 2017. He joins Purdue after serving as the Virginia C. and Joseph C. Mello chair and professor in the Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. Paul is also a professor of Industrial Engineering and has interests in health systems engineering, health analytics, and cost effectiveness modeling. He served six years as the Peter and Angela Dal Pezzo Head of the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Penn State.

Yuehwern Yih

Yuehwern Yih was appointed the associate director of RCHE in May 2016. Her major responsibilities include faculty engagement, strategic research initiatives, and programs coordination. She is a professor of Industrial Engineering and her expertise resides in system and process design, modeling, monitoring, and decision making to improve quality and performance. Dr. Yih provides strong leadership in infusing system engineering in healthcare services. She is an NEC Faculty Fellow, IIE Fellow, and ELATE Fellow.

Ken Musselman

Ken Musselman has been an executive for a venture company in decision management communications, a product manager for two ERP companies in supply chain and advanced planning and scheduling, and a vice president for a simulation software and consulting company.  At RCHE, he draws on Purdue’s academic colleges and outside healthcare partnerships to address impactful, leading-edge research in healthcare delivery.  He holds PhD and MS degrees from Purdue University, and is also a Fellow and past President of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.

Randy Hountz

Randy Hountz is the director of Purdue Healthcare Advisors (PHA). As such, he directs three consulting and training service lines (Process Improvement, Quality Reporting, and Health IT Security) and serves as the Indiana Director for the Great Lakes Practice Transformation Network (GLPTN), a 32-partner consortium dedicated to guiding 11,500 Midwest-based providers toward value-based care. Randy earned his MS in management and BS in mechanical engineering, both from Purdue.

Rich Zink

Rich Zink is responsible for developing evidence-based decision support tools, supporting communities of healthcare providers and researchers, and directing the RCHE Purdue Patient Safety Organization.   He has experience in numerous industries and has held roles in engineering, project management, and information technology.  He received undergraduate degrees in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota.

Lisa Stacey

Lisa Stacey joined RCHE in 2014.  She began her career at Purdue in the School of Materials Engineering, coming from the Tippecanoe School Corporation and previously TRW Manufacturing Engineering.  Her experience working in educational and engineering areas was instrumental in transitioning to healthcare engineering.  Lisa has completed courses at Purdue, Ivy Tech, and professional development instruction including Purdue’s Accomplished Clerical Excellence program.
