About Us

PharmaTAP was established in August 2007 as part of an award from the Lilly Endowment to help Indiana improve the safety, quality and efficiency of healthcare services. The program focuses in three areas:

Operational efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare systems to reduce wait time, delays in care, and resource waste.

Quality and safety of healthcare delivery to reduce potential for patient harm and improve reliability of processes used to support care.

Technology adoption that aligns new technology application with existing processes to minimize potential for new process failures.

Collaborators

PharmaTAP partners with Purdue's Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering (RCHE) and the Healthcare Technical Assistance Program (HTAP) to integrate faculty research capabilities and apply engineering principles to solve problems and improve performance. PharmaTAP also collaborates with:
  • Other subject matter experts to provide clients with the best experience possible.
  • Major core system technology vendors and applications in support of their respective project strategies to assure safe technology adoption.
  • Academic centers to provide educational opportunities, develop resource materials for new, emerging topics and to support research and performance improvement.
