The Healthy Workforce program was developed through a 2007 Department of Labor grant entitled Workforce Innovation for Regional Economic Development (WIRED). With this funding, the complete English and Spanish versions of the Healthy Workforce program was created and piloted at 14 companies within the local WIRED region. This one-time grant expired in 2009.
